Summer Mornings

Today is our first day of summer break. I wish I could say we did something exciting but we just stayed home. The day started of beautiful. The sun was shinning and we played outside. Later it ended up dumping rain. Despite the crummy weather the kids were really good. Jane and her friend Annie mad up a school class and we all were the students. I just love seeing my kids be creative. I think Jane would be a really great teacher. Jane wrote this poem today. She told me, when she was out on the swing this morning she noticed the breeze and the birds and felt inspired to wright this poem. I thought it was excellent!

Is It Baby Season Yet?

Posted by PicasaEli is just a little sweetie pie. He love's to help out with the lille ones. I think he love's teaching them things. Walter and Hyrum idolize him. Eli has been on me the past little while about having another baby. One day when we were having lunch he said, "when it's baby season, can we have a girl?" I don't know where this is coming from but he is convinced we are having another baby. He recently said to me " we have five kids in our family." I told him we have four kids in our family. He said, "No, we have Jane, me, Hyrum, Walt and the new baby." So now I am getting a bit weirded out. I explained to him that maybe we will have another baby some day but we are not having a baby right now. A few days latter our home teachers came over. Walt and Hyrum were both trowing tantrums so Matt and I left the room for a moment. When I came back into the room one of our home teachers said, "so, Eli tells us you are expecting another baby!" I think my jaw might have hit the floor. I told them we are not expecting a baby. I have no idea what they thought. I am just hopping we don't go to church on sunday and have five people ask me when I am due! Ha, Ha, Ha. I felt that this was one for the books.

Is May just as crazy as December?

I think May might be just as busy as December. I am finding my day's are flying by because they are packed with end of year programs, Eli starting t-ball, Our anniversary, Mother's day, gourmet club, the hive, yard work, spring cleaning, painting my room and every day things.

May 13&14th
The Hive

My sweet friend Melissa put together another Hive. It was so much fun. I love having a reason to make fun things. Melissa is so talented and creative. I love being a part of the Hive.

This was a table set up with my Leila Bird creations. Kali took Melissa and I to a cute little cafe in St.George that had this cool branch painted blue. That was the inspiration for the blue branches that my necklaces were hanging from.

May 12th
Jane's Up With Kid's play
"Wonderfully Wicked"

Jane and her friend Audrey Quigley were in a play group called up with kid's this year. They had practice's every Thursday, October through May. Jane has loved up with kid's this year. She was so excited to be doing a play about wicked. We got to see Wicked when we went to New York. I think it is safe to say she is a huge fan.

Jane has really boomed with up with kid's this year. She has really come out of her shell. She is so good at memorizing her lines and getting into character. This year she played Evania, a emerald city citizen fighting for her rights to her individuality. I love it when we are at home and Jane will just bust into opera singing. Oh she makes me so happy. I can't help but smile when I think of her.

April 29th
Eli's Music Class Recital

Eli and Harrison are best buddies. I think they look so cute all dressed up for the recital.

Eli is taking a music class that is a three year program called Let's Play Music. I have be really impressed with it. Hopefully this will make piano really easy. His teacher, Amy York is a fantastic teacher. She is so wonderful with the kids and knows her stuff! I am looking forward to starting up again in the fall. I hope Eli enjoys it then to. I think he was starting to feel the spring fever set in toward the end.

Well, There is one more week in May. We still have Eli's school program, a meeting about the Wasatch back, Doctor's appointments, Jane's last day of School and wallpapering a wall in my room Few, someone wish me luck!

10 Fabulous Years

It is hard to believe it has been ten wonderful years that we have been married. I remember when we got married ten years sounded so long. It has just gone by in the blink of an eye. I am afraid the next ten is only going to go faster. Well you know the saying, time fly's when your having fun. I guess it just means we are having a great time.

May 4, 2000 was one of the best day's of my life. I will never forget our experience in the temple. It was so wonderful. Every time I think of it my heart is so full and I can fell my body get warm. I love to think of the commitment that we made to each other and our Father in Heaven that day. I love thinking about Grandpa McConkie, who was able to seal us that day. I love thinking about all the people who were there that loved and supported us. I remember looking around the room at all their faces and feeling so loved. I was thinking about what it was like before we came to this earth and what it is going to be like after. I like to imagine it is something like that.

We got to go to Park City this year for our anniversary. It was fantastic. Momma McConkie stayed with our kids for two nights!!! It was so nice. We had such a wonderful time. We stayed in this amazing house that had a hot tub, pool table (Matt and I must be the worst pool players ever), A big theater and amazing views of the mountains. We had a baby moose walk right in front of us and the momma right behind. We ate a lot of good food while we were there. I think our favorite place we ate at was Chez Betty. It is a fabulous french restaurant. We both loved every thing we got.

I think I must be the luckiest girl ever!! Matt is such a gem. He has always been so thoughtful. He really thinks about me and what is going to make me happy. Seriously, what more could I ask for! The passed ten years have been such a fun ride. I love going to sleep next to Matt every night and I can't wait to see him when he gets home each day. Matt, thank you for always making me laugh, holding me when I cry and filling my life with so much joy. I love you! HAPPY 10

Happy Mother's Day 2010

I have had a fantastic day. I have spent some time today reflecting on my childhood, my mother, my mother in-law and my children. My heart is so full of joy and gratitude. Truly, I know that I am very blessed. I am so thankful for my Mother and Mother in-law, for there example to me. I have learned and continue to learn how to teach, lead and love my own children. My children bring me so much joy. I am so grateful for each of them. They have all been especially wonderful today. I spent time watching a movie with them, playing outside with them, wrapping gifts and making cards for grandmas with them and telling stories. Matt has been an absolute gem. Letting me take a nap, changing stinky dippers, doing all the dishes and making me feel so loved and appreciated. Thank's Matt for being so good to me and teaching our children how to treat their mother.

Jane made me the sweetest book for mother's day. In the book she said things she thinks of me. One thing she said was, "I think my mom hopes that when I grow up I will be a good mom."

Jane is always so caring and helpful. She told me once when I was expecting Walt, "Is it just so much much to be a mom? I am so excited to be a mom."

I love that she knows that I love being a mom and that that helps her to be excited to be a mother some day.

St. George trip # 2

We came back to sunny St. George the next weekend again. THis time with our friends the Quigleys. We got to see Kali and Payton more this time. We always love being around them. Kali and Payton took our kids to the park to play.

Eli is such a little monkey.

Jane is always so helpful with Walt.

We went to Kali and Payton's house on sunday after church. Walt loved their cats. I can't say the same for the cat's. Thay stayed under the bed most the whole time we were there.

All the boy's are looking for the cat's under the bed.

I always love being around Kali. She was so sweet to take me and my friends around to some fun spot's in St. George. She is alway's so helpful with my kids. I don't even have to ask her to do things, she just see's what need's to be done and helps out. I don't think I could get sick of her. Our visit was much to short!

We hiked around Dixie rock. The kids loved collecting sand stones. Walt loved being toted around in the back pack. He thought he was pretty cool when we put his hat on like this.

Here is Hyurm with Macey at Dixie rock.

This is Emily and Eli at Dixie rock. We can't wait to go back :)
