Boating at Willard Bay

We got to go boating while Kali was here.  The kids had so much fun in the sand and on the boat.

Hyrum told me he had been watching river monsters with Jane and now he was scared of the water.  Even after I assured him non of the river monsters were in Willard Bay he still stayed on the beach.  Walt, Eli and Jane on the other hand couldn't get enough of the water.

Max, Eli, Jane and Samantha.  The kids had a blast with their cousins.

Walt and his shovel.  He carried it around all morning before we went to the beach.

Eli and Max on the tube. I wish I would have gotten a good pic of Jane and Sam on the tube. Jane has turned in to quite the little tube ridder.  Jane and Sam hit one wave and got seven feet of air, Jane managed to hold on!

Walt loving the boat.

Ahhh, one of my favorite sights, sleeping kids in the boat.  Hyrum climbed under the seat and fell asleep.          The boat is one of my favorite places to take a nap.  With the hum of the engine, the rocking waves and a slight breeze under there, it is perfect. Thank's Mom for the fun day!

Zoo Day

Jane and Hyrum
In our attempt to cram as many fun things into our last week of summer vacation we went to the zoo this week. I have so many more things to post, I am hopping I can keep up.
It happened to be zoorasic time at the zoo.  Really awesome dino's that travel from zoo to zoo. The first dinos we saw Hyrum asked if they were real.  It was super fun, there were dinosaurs all over the zoo.  This is a limited time only event.  I was so happy we got to go see them.

Some of the dino's spayed water from there mouths. Jane and Eli had a total blast. That toothless grin makes me so happy.

I love seeing the baby elephant.

Jane, Eli, Walt and Grandma Garner.

One of Jane's favorite animals, the giraffes.

Here is the crew.  Kali came to visit. It is always so fun to see her and cute little Viv.

Bountiful Triathlon

How cute is this man, I am always so happy to see him after a race.  He makes my heart jump but at the same time calms my nerves. I got to participate in a triathlon in bountiful last saturday, it was awesome because it was shorter than the spud man.  The whole time thats what I thought of. Believe it or not I never got a trophy when I was a kid.  As silly as this might sound, I wanted one bad.  It is funny really, they are just cheep plastic people, but I guess it makes you feel good that you have something to prove you did good.

Well I did it,  my first trophy!  I came in second in my age group.  Total time 1:10.  The boys were not as excited as I was about winning something.  They were just hot, hungry and tired.  This photo makes me laugh so hard.  Walt screaming, Hyrum plugging his ears and there was no way Eli was smiling for the camera! After the race Matt and I took the boys to see Car's 2 and later that night we went to the rodeo.  I'd say we had one fun filled day. (Jane was in Idaho with Barlow's and Garner's)

Spud Man Triathlon 2011

This is becoming a really fun tradition that I hope we can continue. This year Dane did the spud man with us.  This triathlon is a 1.5k swim, 40k bike and a 10k run. I was really worried that this year I was just going to be in pain the entire race but I think Heavenly Father blessed me because I felt really great and bettered my time by 2 minuets.  Total time, 2:37

Seth did awesome.  He beat his time from last year by 15 minuets, total time 2:49.  Nice job Seth!!

Dane totally rocked it, total time 2:31.  Way to go Dane!!

I was so impressed with Dad this year.  He had very little training and a crazy taxing work schedule and he still did just as awesome as last year.  Total time, 3:01

I just love Brad and Angie.  How cute are they?  Brad's total time, 2:11 Now that is nuts!!!  Angie's total time, 2:46  Nice work, you guys rock my world!

Here is our wonderful group of racers and supporters. ( Toone's Johnson's, Barlow's, Garner's, and the Baird's)

The racers
Terry, Conner, Brad, Angie, Seth, Matt, Nicole, Brooke, Dane, Zac, Dad and Russ

My sweet Jane is always such a awesome supporter.  I was so happy she got to be there.  After the race she went home with Barlow's for a week.  I am going to miss her so much.  We both cried our eyes out when it was time to say good bye.
