We got up on Jane's Birthday, opened gifts and had her favorite pancakes.  She was so sweet to the boys.  She let Walt open most of her gifts and she gave each of them a big hug.  After a super fun day at school we loaded up the car and drove to St. George.  I must say it was the best drive we have had in a looooong time.  Maybe the boys were so good for Jane.  We met up with Kali and Payton at the pizza factory.  THen we headed over to the condo for cake.  Matt, Payton, Jane and Eli them went for a frog hunt.  The frogs were so load in the back of the condo.  Then they went swimming after.

Birthday morning. 10 years old!

Grandma and Grandpa McConkie and Aunt Sarah came up the night before Jane's Birthday for dinner.  Sarah was so cute.  She came threw the door with the biggest smile and hug for Jane.  She brought her some hula hoops and they had a hula hoop contest.  I think that was Jane's favorite part of her day.

Happy Love Day

This Valentines day was kinda low key.  I made Matt a Valentine treat box and took it to his work with some of his favorite Hansen soda.

I got to help out with Eli's class party.  I love first graders.  Although I don't think I could ever be a teacher, I am way to much of a germ-a-fobe.

Matt and I had a Candel light dinner with the kids.  We ate grilled cheese sandwiches cut into heart shapes and strwaberries.  THe kids thought it was so fun and  I think they felt really loved.  Eli said " I wish it was Valentins day every day."  It was really cute.   After dinner the kids went down stairs and made the sweetes little Valentines for Matt and I.

These are the Valentines to Matt and I from Jane. My Mom and Dad always made Valentines day special for me.  As a teen I never felt say on Valentines, I felt really loved.  My Dad usually got me flowers and my Mom would give me a thoughtful gift.   I was always really excited for it.  I want Valentines day to be that way for my kids.  Once they are out of elementary and don't get candy or boxes that they will still fee loved by their family and look forward to expressing their love to one another.

These are the Valentines Eli mad for Matt and I.

Princess for a day

Helen Barber just turned three and had a princess party.  Jane and I got to dress up and help at the party. Jane was so cute, she painted the little girls nails and helped them with their craft projects.  I got to do their hair.  We don't do many girly things like that around here so it was fun to get dressed up for a few hours.  Helen was so cute at her party.  Beth always throws such fun kids parties!

Get Air

We went to this place called Get Air on groundhog day.  It is full of trampolines.  We had a total blast. Hyrum and Walt mostly played in the pit of foam blocks, Eli made a new friend and Jane smoked me at tag. I only had to use the restroom once and could jump for an hour with out peeing my pants!  Wahoo, I would say it was a successful jump day!

More than nine lives

Poor Maverick added to his list of Vet visits.  This time he chased down a porcupine and decided to bite it!  That's right bite it.  The pictures don't even show how bad it was.  Matt tried to pull them out with pliers until Mav opened his mouth and we got a good look inside. The roof of his mouth was completely coverd in quills.  We decided he needed to go to the Vet. After sever hours at the vet and 800.00 dollars latter he is doing good.  I swear this dog has more than nine lives!  Jane has been extra sweet and caring to him.

Just in case you didn't know, Maverick....
Almost died from eating rat poison
Got hit by a car
Has been sprayed by a skunk twice
Flayed his gut open on barbed wire {this was really creepy looking!}
and I have lost track of how many times he has need stitches.
Now we add porcupine to the list.
He really is such a sweet dog and the kids {mostly Jane} are over the moon in love with him!
