Summer Randomness

Our super awesome, wonderful, we love them so much they might as well be family, friends came to visit from New York this summer.  Paul and Andrea... we love you and can't wait to see you again.

It was kinda nut's going through the photos realizing this was our first pick nick after school got out.  THis is at the reservoir in out neighborhood, notice the snow on the mountains.  Yep that's right SNOW, May 27th 2011.  Oh how I am not ready for winter.

Walt, Eli and Matt throwing rocks

Jane took this photo of a sandhill crane.

Walter

We went to the pioneer day fair in bountiful. We got to go with Kali and Payton.  It was a super hot day, the kids did pretty good, we hit up the pool after all the rides.

Cherry Hill.  Walt didn't love the slides so much, he had more fun running down a grassy hill with Hyrum.

Eli and Jane were all about the slides.  I LOVE watching my kids have such a blast.

Well the photos some how got out of order, woopsie.  This is at the bountiful fair fishing pond.

It make's me laugh so hard when Matt puts his lip like that.  Such a classic Matt for a photo.

After baking at the fair for a while we got some not so yummy snow cones, the kids were happy.

Look at that little blue smile.

We got to got to lunch with some of my favorite people ever.  Hillary, Michelle, Camille(not in photo), Mom and all of their kids.  I love getting to see these cousins, they are such fun, wonderful, loving people.  It was such a treat to see them.

THis is at the ward campout.  Hyrum and his b.f.f. Krew.  Eli in the tent the next morning.  We camped just down the street from our house at our stake's bowery.  It is a really fun spot right by cotton wood creek.  All though I was happy most of the creek had dried up by then.

Jane took cake of her 3rd grade teacher class pet over the summer.  She did such a good job.  I think she is so good with animals because she has such a tender caring hart.

We got to surprise Kali on her Birthday and celebrate it with her.
What a fun summer.  It always go by to fast.  You know what they say.  Time fly's when your having fun!

Swimming Cake

Jane told me she wanted to make a swimming cake for our trip to Lava Hot Springs.  She saw a photo in a magazine that she wanted to re-create.  We went to the store together just the two of us and picked out all the candy, the next day she followed the recipe and baked the cake.  I thought she did such a good job with everything.  I only helped with the oven and the frosting.  I can't believe how grown up she is.  She decided it was to much cake for just our family to eat so she brought it to our neighborhood treat night, held at the Quigleys.  It was a hit! I think she had fun showing it off.

Lava Hot Springs

The kids got to choose fun things to do this summer each time they accomplished certain things, Jane Read several books and choose to go to Lava Hot springs.  A treat for us all.

Hyrum on the kiddie slide

Walt on the slide, He wasn't a huge fan.  I think he went down the one time and that was good enough.

Eli of course was a sliding maniac.  This is the kiddie slide but he went down slides I was afraid to go down.

I think it is funny that Eli looks like he if totally dominating Matt in this photo.

Jane and her Daddy.

Jane on the high dive.  She is so brave.

Eli on the high dive.

I had to sign a waver so Eli could jump off the platform.  After he concord the first platform he wanted to jump of the next one up.  I had to put the brakes on that one.

Matt and Eli jumping off the platform.

Walt and Hyrum throwing rocks into the river; they could throw rocks for hours.

Cutie bug Jane

Jane, Hyrum and I.  We are Lava Hot Springs die hards.  The river, the pools, the slides and of course the hot springs.  Can't wait to go next year.
