Tour de Mountain Green

Yesterday we had the 2nd annual Tour de Mountain Green. It was a lot of fun. Can I just say, I stinken love living in Mountain Green. There are some really awesomely talented, motivated people here. The day started out with sunrise yoga at snow basin followed by a bike ride into Morgan, a fun run, canoeing, tubbing down the river, hiking, and finished up that night with a picnic at snow basin. I was asked to help with the fun run. I was a little sad I didn't get to run it. I now can appreciate how much work go's into putting something like that on. Matt and the kids ran the one mile loop. They did great. I was so proud of Jane and Eli. They ran the whole way. It got them excited for a triathlon they are going to be doing in the fall.

This is the picnic at Snow Basin. It was beautiful. There was live music and a fun raffle. I won a gift certificate to Lemon Tree home furnishings. I am super excited to use it.

At the picnic they did a few zumba dances. Jane and Audrey were all about it but Eli and Emily were just the opposite. It was so funny to watch Eli and Emily with the same "there is no way I am doing that expression" and Jane and Audrey totally letting loose.

I am really looking forward to the next year's Tour de Mountain Green. I am for sure signing up for the tubbing!

The Forth of July and Good Company

What can I say, We LOVE the forth of July. This year was extra special. Our super awesome friends, Paul and Andrea Borem got to come out and visit and our good friends, Audrey and Emily Quigley got baptized. It was one fun filled day. CAUTION...lots of photos, but who doesn't love that right?

I accidentally put the photo's on in reverse of the night, whoops. Matt put on one of the most fun, awesome firework shows I have ever been to. We had segways, music (thank you d.j Andrea), Popcorn, astro bar's (a 4th of July must), nice weather, cosy blankets, good friend's, and to die for fire works. What more could you ask for?

The Wasatch Back/Ragnar relay

I love, Love, Love this man. Matt is such a great support to me. He just gives me the boost I need every time I see him at a race. Not to mention the amazing food he had pre-peard for me when I got to stop in at home and being a single parent for two days. He totally rocked it!

This was after my second run. I got to run 3.9 miles through Mountain Green. It was a short run but hot. I loved knowing I would get to see my family about 2 miles into it.It was so much fun to see my family. My Grandparent have always been such great support throughout my life. I loved getting to see my kids. Matt and my mom worked so hard to keep the ship in shape while I was gone.

This is a photo taken just before the race at the starting line. Our team started at 6:50 a.m. on friday morning. We left Mountain Green at 4:30 a.m. THis is not a time I am used to. I was really nervous about how my body was going to respond to no sleep and lots of running.
Surprisingly I did okay. I actually felt really great. I think the adrenalin kicked in and I felt like I could have run even more that I was suppose to.

Our team was called The Damn Soles in Distress. I was in van one with my good friends Angie and Amber, Amber's dad, Roger, her collage roommate, Stacie and her friend Shawna. We had such a blast. I don't think any of us slept in the car. We were to busy cheering for our runner or laughing with each other. I think Angie gets the best cheerleader award. She is so much fun to be with.

This is a photo of our whole team. Van one and Van two, all twelve of us at the finish line.

My first run was through Nibbly. It was a beautiful 6.7 miles. I loved watching wall the van's pass. There were some funny teams. The van's, my team cheering me on and the awesome views keep me very entertained.

I just love Ang!!

The finish line was at the Canyons in Park City. This photo is on the gondola ride up to the finish line.

I got to see my cute cousin Ashlee at the finish line. She ran the race with my uncle Russ in a different team. It was fun to see her. It made me excited to do the Spud man with a lot of our Baird family.

I think the giant medals make us feel like winners. Even though this is not a race to see how can finish first, It felt awesome to finish. When we got to Park City, I thought, I have just spent 24 hours in the car with 5 other people, run 14 miles and driven 188 miles going 20miles per hour. WOW!!!

3 boys

My sisters and I were sitting out on my driveway visiting and enjoying the sun. The boys were out with us. Walt has this thing with pillows. He loves to take the pillows from our bench inside and trow them all down the stairs. If we are outside he takes the pillows of the porch swing and throws them of the porch. This day the boys decided to lay down in the grass with them. It was so funny to watch. I think Hyrum was the first one to lay down and them Walt, because he likes to copy everything his brothers do. Eli didn't want to be left out so he joyend in to. We have four pillows and three boys. This was posing as a problem. Who gets to have the fourth pillow???? They were fighting over it for a while until Hyrum wanted it so bad, he was willing to loose his shorts over it the other boys let him have it!

Taylor's Birdie Shower

A little birdie told me a baby boy is on the way.

My sister Kali and I threw a baby shower for our sister Taylor last week. We had such a blast putting it all together, spending time with each other and cooing over cute baby things.

This is our good friend Darlene and my mom, Sydney.

Merredith and Kali

We had fabric, iron-on, buttons, embroidery floss and onsies. Look what cute things people came up with!

I love this photo of Mom, Taylor, Me and Kali. We love being together.

Tammy, Jill, Carly, Mckenzie, Kathy, Sissy and Angie

Merredith and Austin

I love this photo, it make's me happy. I just love my Grandma Baird so much. She is such a neat lady. I am thankful for our relationship.

I think kail's hand almost fell off piping all the little birdies on the cupcakes. They turned out supper cute!

We had really yummy salads, fruit, bread and lemonade. I was so excited to use the birdie plater.

We sent our guests home with a little nest full of gum balls. It always great to get together with friend and family to celebrate a new baby. We are getting excited for Taylor's sweet little bundle of joy to arrive.
